The Woman in the Basement

A festive eighteenth birthday celebration turns into a nightmare when Amily stops to assist an ostensibly distressed driver, only to be ambushed and imprisoned in an underground cellar. Panicked when her child vanishes without a trace, Julia travels to the secluded rural community of Ronnie to beg local minister Davis for assistance. In reality, the preacher is in league with the abductors, manufacturing false leads to derail the desperate mother's investigation. As the conspirators plant rumors and intimidate curious neighbors, Julia glimpses a masked captive whose silhouette mirrors her missing daughter. Refusing to succumb to self-doubt, she confronts a web of local deceit to uncover the truth.
