The Cursed Alpha's Mate
72 EP
Prior to deploying to vicious regional skirmishes, a loyal werewolf guard memorizes a crucial warning from his beloved pack matriarch: if she ever consumes almonds, an impostor has taken her place. Returning from the battlefront months later, he spots the smiling woman calmly tasting the very treat that should prove fatal.
The woman displays his companion's exact countenance, familiar aroma, and intimate childhood recollections, perfectly replicating every nuance of the revered leader. Trusting his companion's dire warning above his own senses, the suspicious soldier begins a perilous clandestine inquiry to uncover what happened to the genuine matriarch.
