The Reckoning Takes Flight
41 EP
Years after sustaining a permanent physical injury while rescuing a drowning child from a river, a devoted father marries the boy's widowed mother without ever disclosing his heroism. Instead of showing gratitude, the spoiled stepson viciously torments his stepsister, while the matriarchal in-laws enable the child's cruelty and impose rigid financial control.
Heartbroken by the relentless mistreatment endured by his gentle daughter, the father resolves to end the marriage and walk away. Only when separation proceedings begin does the family uncover the identity of the guardian who sacrificed his own health to preserve the boy's life.
