Driven off a cliff by wrathful deities centuries ago, an exiled handmaiden hid among mortals while raising the god king's twin children.

Handmaiden Io faces the fury of the celestial pantheon after falling in love with Ares, the supreme King of the Gods. Chased to a precipice by the Mother Goddess, Io plunges into the mortal realm and is widely presumed dead. Seven years later, an embittered Ares visits Athens, clutching the mended star-moon pendant that serves as his only reminder of their lost love. While wandering the mortal streets, he encounters two street performers whose musical melodies and luminous golden eyes mirror his own divinity. Lingering nearby in fragile health, Io has spent years shielding their twin children from divine wrath as fateful paths converge once more.
