My Wolf Rejected Me, So I Chose the Scarred Fox

After thirteen years of caring for a wolf companion she rescued from captivity, a quiet woman overhears him confess that he secretly longs for her glamorous cousin. Devastated by the betrayal, she severs their bond, abandons her home, and begins a quiet academic career in a distant coastal town.

There, she crosses paths with an abused fox beastkin bearing physical scars and trauma from an illicit trafficking ring. Offering him the unconditional tenderness she never received, she finds pure loyalty in return, standing tall when her remorseful ex-partner reappears pleading for a second chance.
