Gone Before the Vows

Scarlett is an elven saintess who has long guarded her heart after watching her mother suffer from romance. When Carlos courts her with relentless devotion, she softens and agrees to become his bride. However, her dreams shatter upon learning a horrifying truth: she is being used as an expendable shield to absorb a lethal curse meant for his actual lover, a noblewoman named Raven. Crushed by his deception, Scarlett takes an assignment to watch over a dangerous ancient seal. During the final days before the ritual, she grants him repeated opportunities to choose her, but his loyalty remains firmly with the noble elf.
