After forfeiting nine tails across five centuries to defend an empire, the weakened spirit goddess walked away when ungrateful nobles mocked her sacrifices.

Lydia Rowan dedicates five hundred years of her immortal life to guarding a mortal empire, offering nine divine tails to preserve peace and order. When a temporary loss of magic renders her vulnerable, arrogant aristocrats humiliate her while the ungrateful royal court looks on with icy detachment.

Undeterred by their shallow cruelty, Lydia regains her cosmic abilities and single-handedly suppresses the demonic uprising threatening the kingdom. After helping an honorable duke secure the throne, she cuts all ties with mortal greed and ascends into the heavens.
