Elias spends three centuries pursuing the vampire lord Lorian, firmly convinced that the creature slaughtered his family in cold blood. When an ambush forces the sworn adversaries into an uneasy truce, their joint investigation reveals a shocking reality behind the guild's operations. The adoptive father who raised Elias and directed the hunter guild is actually the murderer who executed his parents and conspired in illicit genetic trials. Shattered by the revelation of his mentor's treachery, Elias must set aside ancient racial enmity to unite with his vampire rival. Together, the two legendary combatants battle to expose the corrupt organization and avenge their stolen pasts.
