The Year in His Chains
59 EP
Cherished for decades as an adopted son, an accomplished young researcher finds himself abruptly ostracized when his parents welcome a supposed biological heir into the manor. Sickened by their sudden hostility and cold dismissal, he volunteers for a high-risk long-term hibernation experiment to sever all ties.
Too late, the remorseful family uncovers archived medical records confirming that the displaced researcher was their true biological child all along. By the time their frantic search begins, the forgotten son has departed for a fresh horizon far beyond their grasp.
